Steph's Spook Alley

So I decided to Do something really cool for my scouts for Halloween since it is my favorite holiday. I came up with the idea to solve a mystery of my great great great grandma who was a witch and had disapeared when several people were out to kill her. We had to figure out what happend to her (it's all made up don't worry). I made a spook alley and there was a series of clues hidden that they would have to find so we could solve the mystery. It turned out awesome! infact every single one of my scouts was freaked out and two wouldn't even go through.

but wait... something else happened that was really scary. I was in there all by myself making it foggy and I was staring over at the dead guy thinking to myself self how creepy he was, and what I would do if he happened to come alive. At that moment I hear a sound coming from his direction, and ofcourse I can't help but look. As soon as I look he starts sliding off his table, I start freaking out of course and try to run to the door (it's completely dark remember) as I pass the grave yard the stupid stone does it's screamy thing and I can't help but let out a little one myself. Luckily I made it into the house and felt better but I had to get Denise to come out with me to fix the stupid man

I will be putting a video clip here of it as soon as I can figure it out.

These are all the props that I used. The book was my spell book. They had a lantern that they carried through for light, a satchel (I think that it was those are called) to put their clues in, and the pictures are my characters that were left in her last journal entry. Pretty cool huh?

I LOVE that you used your own ancestor pictures for the photos...GREAT idea!

I can just imagine you getting so spooked in your own haunted house that you scared yourself...I couldn't help but giggle when reading that. (I HATE spooky ANYTHING so that would have freaked me out!)

I'm glad you put so much into your calling. We're having such a bad time with scout leaders right now that it's a breath of fresh air to read that you're doing something fun and interesting. Keep posting your ideas so that I can pass them along!

(Did you decide if you're coming out? I want to see the haircut in real life!)

How did you talk Sean into letting you have a blog??? I'm so glad you do tho. I need to be better at updating. I don't think I'll be back down until Thanksgiving, but I'm going to go to the cabin in a few weeks.
